    ORDO Public Beta is live

ORDO handles PDFs, images and structured data in your browser, with local-first processing and no signup. What the Public Beta can do, and its current limits.

Changelog

  1. New PDF tools: page numbers, watermarks and document info

    • Add page numbers with a chosen position and starting number, as a page number alone or “page / total”.
    • Add supported text watermarks in the centre or repeated across each page, horizontally or diagonally.
    • Read PDF document info into a text report, or clear standard document fields and catalog-level XMP, then set Producer to ORDO. This does not remove page text or images, annotations, bookmarks or attachments.
    • Split out odd or even pages while preserving their order. Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded.
    • The homepage paper artwork now blends into its background, and its image is not loaded below the 1024-pixel breakpoint.
  2. Edit PDF: edit existing text, redact, page tools and pictures

    • Change text already in a supported PDF when that can be done safely; otherwise a clearly labelled cover-and-retype is offered.
    • Added Redact, which removes text, pictures and lines from the file and re-checks it before download — separate from Cover, which only hides.
    • Added pictures, image signatures, frames, ellipses, lines, arrows, and rotation to any angle.
    • Page tools: reorder, rotate, duplicate, delete and add pages.
    • Fixed: redacting a page that also had your own additions no longer loses those additions.
  3. Edit PDF opens

    • Type supported text on a PDF, fill in real forms and forms with no boxes, tick, highlight and draw with the pen.
    • The result keeps real form fields fillable, and your original file isn't changed.
