ORDO Public Beta is live
Document tools should be easy and free. You shouldn't have to create an account to merge PDFs or fix a small file. ORDO's Public Beta is open: drop a file, do the job, download the result. There's no sign-up, and for the tools below your file never leaves your device.
What ORDO is
ORDO is a local-first document platform. Merge, split, edit, convert, redact and extract structured data from supported files in your browser. Review results against the source, with uncertain fields left blank. The public beta has been open since 18 September 2026.
Free, with no account
- The tools in the beta are free to use.
- No sign-up, no login, no watermark.
- No daily quota. Very large files are limited only by your device's memory.
What runs on your device
Every tool in the Public Beta processes files in your browser. Opening, editing and saving a PDF, converting images, turning CSV into Excel: none of it uploads your file. The page's security settings let it talk only to ORDO itself, and the one thing it sends is anonymous usage statistics — which tool was used, never file content or file names.
Edit PDF
- Change text that's already in a supported PDF when ORDO can do it safely. When it can't, it says so and offers to cover the text and type the new wording, labelled as a cover.
- Add text in supported scripts, pictures, image signatures, shapes, arrows and highlights, and pick colours from the page.
- Cover (whiteout) hides text from view; the text stays in the file.
- Redact removes text, pictures and lines from the PDF you download, then re-checks the file before letting you download it.
- Manage pages: reorder, rotate, duplicate, delete, add blank pages or pages from another PDF, and rotate objects to any angle.
Text and numbers stay intact
- Script support varies by capability. Check the Languages matrix and inspect the saved file.
- CSV files saved as UTF-8 or Windows-874 are read correctly.
- Values with a leading 0 and IDs longer than 15 digits are kept as text, never turned into numbers.
- The site has an English reference experience and a Thai translation.
PDF, image and data tools
- PDF: merge, split, extract pages, rotate, convert to JPG, PNG and text.
- Images: JPG to PDF, and conversions between PNG, JPG and WebP.
- Data: convert between CSV, Excel and JSON.
- Smart Extract: proposes fields from supported digital documents for review against source evidence, then writes one row into your own Excel file. Also on your device.
What Public Beta means
What's not there yet, said plainly.
- Text already in a PDF is edited directly only where ORDO can prove it safe.
- Scanned pages aren't read (no OCR).
- No certificate-based digital signatures.
- Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first.
- Some things are still unproven, such as Edit PDF and keyboards on physical phones. Try it on a copy before you rely on it for something important.
